HAIR TRANSPLANT IN OTHER AREAS

HAIR GRAFT

Apart from hair transplants on the head, hair transplants can be performed in other areas of the body, such as eyebrows, beards, mustaches, scars and pubis.

These are surgical procedures that are performed on an outpatient basis, with local anesthesia and/or sedation. Its objective is to increase hair density in unpopulated areas and, ultimately, significantly improve its appearance.

In addition, it is possible to combine hair transplantation with micropigmentation treatment, achieving better results. The technique consists of injecting pigments under the scalp, in the labial mucosa, depending on the area to be treated.

In this way, capillary micropigmentation helps us to simulate hair growth anywhere on the body. It is a fast and effective treatment for those patients who seek to hide their lack of hair.

Performing a pubic hair transplant is not the most common, but there are people (especially women) who prefer to have the hair they have lost.

The main advantages of hair transplantation in eyebrows, mustache and beard are:

  • It is a definitive solution, since the results remain over time and it is not necessary to undergo new interventions.
  • There is no chance of rejection, since the graft is performed with the patient’s own follicles.
  • It does not leave visible scars and the recovery time is short, being able to return to normal life immediately.
  • It is a simple, minimally invasive, painless and safe procedure with a natural result.

BEFORE AND AFTER

The trust of our patients extends to the post-operative period, when they allow us to share their before and after so that other people can see our work. The only retouching of these images is that of tattoo ink and skin moles, erased to protect the privacy of our patients.

It is not. The duration of the capillary micropigmentation treatment will depend on the quality of the skin of each patient, but it ranges around 3 years. It is a treatment that requires between 2-3 sessions.

Indeed, when we talk about beard hair transplantation, mustache and sideburns are included.

It can be complemented with micropigmentation, since sometimes the transplant is not enough to cover the entire desired area. They are compatible treatments.

The reasons for hair loss from the eyebrows can be: due to excessive waxing or tweezing, scars, burns or trauma, stress, age-related reasons, alopecia areata or due to diseases and treatments such as chemotherapy, among others.

It lasts approximately 4 hours. It is performed on an outpatient basis and once the surgery is finished, the patient can return home and continue with his usual routine, always following the recommendations of the medical team.

The results of the beard transplant are visible from 3 months after the intervention. After 6 months, a more lush beard begins to be noticed and, finally, after a year, the definitive results are appreciated.

The most common factors that cause hair loss in the beard are usually due to genetics, burns, traumatic episodes or sequelae of surgery.

Hair transplantation takes between 6 and 8 months to grow in a scar.
