OTHER FACIAL TREATMENTS
FACIAL AESTHETIC SURGERY
Within cosmetic surgery we find other facial treatments such as: the removal of biopolymers on the lips, eyebrow lifting, earlobe reconstruction (lobuloplasty) and lip lifting.
Removal of biopolymers on the lips
Biopolymers are non-absorbable fillers formerly commonly used on the face and lips. Not having the ability to be naturally reabsorbed or broken down by the body, they can cause chronic inflammatory reactions, especially in the lips. They also cause a deformed appearance of the anatomy and can cause pain.
The removal of biopolymers from the lips is a technique called Cheiloplasty or Bermelloplasty, which is performed with local anesthesia and sedation, on an outpatient basis. Its objective is to extract the maximum amount possible, seeking to restore the natural and harmonious anatomy of the lips.
Brow Lift
The position of the eyebrows influences the appearance and shape of the eyes, the gaze and expressiveness. In general, more open and almond-shaped eyes generate a fresher and more youthful look.
The eyebrow lift is the procedure that seeks to reposition the middle portion and tail of the eyebrows, raising them. As a result, it is possible to improve the appearance and rejuvenation of the eyes and the upper third of the face.
This technique is performed with local anesthesia and sedation on an outpatient basis. With all this, the scars are hidden, so they are imperceptible.
Reconstruction of earlobes
The earlobe commonly expands or loses its anatomical shape due to the use of earrings. Gravity and constant tension cause the elongation of the tissue, which causes discomfort and, in some cases, the impossibility of wearing earrings.
Lobuloplasty or lobe reconstruction is a simple procedure that is performed on an outpatient basis and under local anesthesia. Its objective is to restructure the anatomy and shape of the lobe, having an adequate proportion with the rest of the ear and allowing, at the same time, the placement of earrings again.
Lip Lift
The area of the upper lip, Cupid’s bow and philtrum, during youth has defined and tense shapes. However, over time the skin and tissues become flaccid, losing their defined shapes. This causes an elongated appearance of the area between the nose and the upper lip, and secondarily reduces the volume of the lip.
The upper lip lift, or lip lift, is an outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia. This technique consists of removing a skin spindle from the area below the nostrils, shortening the space between the nose and the upper lip. In this way, a lift is created, giving a more voluminous appearance to the red lip and the appearance of rejuvenation.

Thanks to the technological and surgical advances of the last decades, it is possible to increase the size of the breasts with breast implants, avoiding leaving visible scars on them.
With endoscopic axillary mammoplasty, the scar is hidden in the natural fold of the armpit, being practically invisible over time. Another advantage is that it does not require cutting breast tissue for the placement of the prostheses, making it more stable and durable over time.
Endoscopic help allows the surgeon direct vision, thus allowing bleeding to be controlled, reducing the risk of hematomas or seromas (main causes of capsular contracture). This technique also makes it possible to correctly release the muscle insertions, creating a suitable pocket or hole for implant placement.

BEFORE AND AFTER
The trust of our patients extends to the post-operative period, when they allow us to share their before and after so that other people can see our work. The only retouching of these images is that of tattoo ink and skin moles, erased to protect the privacy of our patients.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The biopolymers are extracted through small incisions at the junction of the mucosa and the inside of the lip, which is why they are imperceptible.
The patient will be able to return home and to their normal routine immediately, avoiding the intake of very hot and difficult-to-chew food during the first few days. Finally, 5 days after surgery the stitches will be removed.
The result after the removal of biopolymers will be seen after at least three weeks of surgery, since the inflammation in the lip has to be reduced almost completely to be able to see the harmonic shape and its new structure.
In the eyebrow lift, local anesthesia is generally used and it is tolerated very well. In addition, if the patient wants more comfort, it can be done with sedation. The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes.
The eyebrow lift in one of the facial treatments with a painless postoperative period. However, some discomfort may appear due to inflammation, which will be perfectly tolerated with analgesics.
The result is immediate. Likewise, once the inflammatory period is over, the result will be appreciated even better.
Patients who have an elongated or torn lobe, either due to the use of earrings, expanders or who have traumatically torn the lobe.
Lobuloplasty is not painful. However, the incisions in the lobe may cause mild discomfort and swelling after the effect of anesthesia.
As a general rule, the results are visible at the moment. However, the final result can be seen once the stitches have been removed.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, does not require hospitalization and lasts approximately 30 minutes.
For the use of earrings it is advisable to wait a month from the time the stitches are removed. As a result, the tissue heals properly and regains support and structure so it won’t tear again.
Patients who have a very elongated white lip (space between the red lip and the base of the nose), as well as very little volume in the upper lip.
In some facial procedures, such as a lip lift, local anesthesia is usually used. It is a totally ambulatory procedure that lasts approximately 40 minutes, in which sedation can be used if the patient prefers it.
The results of the lip lift are seen immediately after the procedure. These are permanent, with which a lip with greater volume is achieved, shortening the distance between the nose and upper lip, obtaining a rejuvenation of the area.
